AMEC invites members in Perth to attend a morning with MATES in Mining.
MATES in Mining seeks to raise awareness and build communities of MATES who can look out for MATES, leading to mentally healthier workplaces.
MATES is an evidence-based suicide awareness and prevention program for the mining industry. It delivers workforce capacity building and support, utilising training as a tool to raise awareness about the importance of mental health.
AMEC has arranged a session of MATES in Mining’s General Awareness Training, a 45-minute session designed for all levels of workers across mineral exploration and mining, to support the ongoing focus on physical and psychosocial safety across our industry.
This session will be followed by a networking morning tea.
