Beyond Discovery: Navigating the Realities of Growth, Risk, and Responsibility
As exploration projects mature into potential mining operations, companies face a new and more complex set of challenges.
This event, brought to you collaboratively with the Australian Drilling Industry Association (ADIA), brings together representatives from DETSI, RSHQ, Coexistence Queensland, and DNRMMRRD to share insights and answer questions on the common issues encountered when transitioning from exploration to mining.
With more Queensland explorers developing small projects in-house, many are experiencing growing pains across environmental management, safety systems, and governance frameworks. This session will explore what regulators expect at the various critical stages of growth, highlight common pitfalls, and provide practical guidance to help projects scale responsibly.
At this workshop, sponsored by SSE Co., Wulguru Technical Services and Eagle Drilling NQ, participants will gain a clearer understanding of how to manage risk, meet regulatory obligations, and build strong foundations for safe, sustainable, and compliant mining operations.
