WA WHS Seminar: One Year On

May 30 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm AWST

The Association of Mining and Exploration Companies and The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia invite guests to attend this seminar on WA’s new Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws – one year on from their commencement.

WHS laws apply to all mineral exploration and mining companies in WA.

Hear from WorkSafe Mines Safety and leading Industry professionals, the updates to transitional arrangements, the approach of the Regulator, what the next phase of the WHS implementation means for your business, and how to navigate the new legal requirements, to continue providing safe workplaces.

WHS commenced in WA on 31 March 2022, changing the requirements, obligations and protections of workers and workplaces in WA.

As part of the WA Government’s WHS Peak Body Grants Program, this session will provide practical advice, information and tips, on how to meet the Regulator’s requirements, and ensure that worker and workplace safety is being appropriately considered and managed.

The event is free to attend but registration is necessary. Historically, interest in these events has been very high. Register early so you don’t miss out.
